Blogging
Using Blogger is definitely something new for me.
It is good for presenting work onto the internet so that people can view your work.
However, using the software on the site is a nightmare. There are limited facilities on how you arrange photos and images on the page, the fonts and colours are very basic and layouts can be quite frustrating when publishing onto the blog.
On the other hand, i have learnt the basics on how to present the work onto the blog and it doesn't look bad. It is also easy to edit each post on here if you have made a mistake or want to change the layout slightly, so even though it is a bit annoying, it's not too bad.
I would prefer to just handwrite a portfolio of work to hand in. That way i can do it anytime rather having to use a computer now and again. It takes time, some people may not have access to computers at home and they aren't as efficient.

Photoshop
I have learnt the basics of photoshop, and can use it quite efficiently when asked to do something such as select a specific part of an image and change the brightness of it.
I first started off the project creating my college magazine. When i started off, i knew absolutely nothing about photoshop, but as i progressed on the course, my skills on photoshop improved as i used it almost everyday.

Flickr
Before i started my college magazine i had never used Flickr before (Just like Photoshop and Blogger). I found this quite easy to get used to, as there weren't many features we had to use for the whole project. The only things we really had to know were how to upload photos, how to annotate them and how to put them on our blogs, and they were quite simple tasks. Overall, i think the way Flickr combines with blogs is great and the way it relates to this project so much, it was easy to get used to it, and is a very useful online program.

Outlook Express and Microsoft Word
These two programs have been fresh in my mind for years. Probably two of the most used programs on computers. Microsoft word i used a bit to prepare drafts of articles and to draw up layouts for double page spreads, and Outlook i used to email things to myself, and to email other people to find out other information.

Camera work
I have never really used cameras much before this course. Only in GCSE media now and again to take photographic evidence but it was just basic. This time i had to consider things such as lighting, which can totally change the mood a scene, whether the light is bright or dark. I learnt how to frame photos, and i think my photos came out well, after slight editing on photoshop (to make certain factors stand out more, such as the Ambient lighting).
